remiCrystal allows you split a single Crystal Report by Group Header 1 and then have each group save into individual files for delivery to individual destinations. To set up Crystal Report bursting in remiCrystal, follow the example steps below:
- Open remiCrystal and click the Create Report Bursting Task
- Provide a name for your task and description
- Go to the Reports & Actions tab and click on the Crystal Reports button
- Select the Crystal Report you would to use
- In the report setup window, work your way to the Bursting Field & Values tab by providing parameters and log in credentials if needed
- From the dropdown, select the field that you would like to bursting by
- You can also limit the values to use by checking the Only Use The Following Values checkbox

- From the Output Format tab, you can specify the output format that you would like your reports to be exported in e.g. PDF, Word, Excel etc
- You may also customize the output file name to include the bursting field you select in Step 6 ({%rcx.BurstingValue()) or other values from your Crystal Reports that are not suppressed or hidden.
- Click the Save button
- Go to the Targets tab to configure your report delivery options. You can use the values from your Crystal Report fields to customize the destination options such as folder names, email addresses, email subjects etc. You will find all the fields from your report by selecting Crystal Report Field Values from the function picker
- Click the Save button to save the Target.
- You may complete setting up the Task by adding your Triggers or test it out by clicking on the Execute button.
